Creating with the Underworld w— Emily Prentice
“The infinite has to live in tandem with the very, very temporary.” — Emily Prentice
Today, we’re diving deep into the Underworld to see what tools, teachings + resources it has for us in all seasons of life. Emily Prentice joins us to talk about the inevitable change the Underworld brings us, how our creative practices can be a practice for embracing joy and what is and is not our responsibility as mere mortals.
Emily Prentice is an artist and facilitator living in Elkins, WV. Through The Center for Underworld Studies, she organizes and edits a monthly zine called Mycelium Mag. She also facilitates Art & The Underworld, a community of explorers who delve into the below through their creative practice. Emily is a proponent of anti-hierarchy and non-linearity, and she believes every human can access the generative energy of the underground. All we need to do is dig deep.
