Next-economy strategist + practitioner Jess Rimington joins us today to talk about the power of imagination to transform work and economies. Her new book Beloved Economies is a beautiful and visionary co-creative undertaking that brings together powerful research that shows us 7 Practices that help us redesign our economic world.
Jess Rimington is a small-business practitioner and next-economy strategist focused on ethics and methodologies of post-capitalism. She is the co-author of Beloved Economies: Transforming How We Work which offers readers an imagination-expanding vision of work and seven practices as a springboard for changing how we work. Jess served as co-director of the Beloved Economies research initiative, learning alongside more than sixty organizations and companies that were boldly breaking out of business as usual and generating forms of success that audaciously prioritized well-being, meaning, connection, and resilience. Prior, Jess served as managing director of a post-capitalist, narrative change initiative called /The Rules and executive director of a cross-cultural, education collective rooted in principles of pedagogy of the oppressed. She is an activist, painter, and dancer who loves tending to plants for food and medicine.
