Loving Yourself as Feminist Practice w— Amelia Hruby
In this conversation, Amelia shares with us about her process of going back over a book that she wrote back in 2016 and the interesting parallels between writing about feminism around these very electric elections. Amelia also shares really vulnerably and beautifully about her journey through accepting her body through dysmorphia and self-loathing as she actively divests from diet culture and body shaming. We also talk about how we love ourselves is at the core of how we let others love us. She shares some practical likes and dislikes around social media and how she’s consciously trying to orient work and life toward more ease and flow instead of productivity at all costs.
Amelia Hruby is a feminist writer, educator and podcaster. Her book Fifty Feminist Mantras is now available, and you can also check out her podcast Fifty Feminist States.
